Do you really answer the phone at 2 a.m.?
Yes. We answer 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays. You get a person, not a voicemail box that gets checked in the morning.
What counts as an HVAC emergency?
No heat when it is freezing, no cooling during a heat advisory, a gas smell, a carbon monoxide alarm, water pouring out of the air handler, or any burning smell from the system. If someone in the house is elderly, very young, or has a medical condition, treat loss of heating or cooling as an emergency and call.
What should I do before you arrive?
If you smell gas or your CO alarm is sounding, leave the house and call us from outside. Otherwise, shut the system off at the thermostat, check that the filter is not completely clogged, and confirm the breaker has not tripped. Those three things solve a surprising number of calls.
Does an after-hours call cost more?
After-hours and holiday calls carry a different rate than a scheduled weekday visit. We tell you the price before we dispatch, so there is nothing unexpected on the invoice.
How quickly can you get to me?
Response time depends on where you are in the metro and how many calls are already active, which is common during the first hard freeze or a long heat wave. We give you a realistic window on the phone instead of an optimistic one.
Can you fix it the same night or just get us through?
Our trucks carry the parts that fail most often, so many emergency calls are fully repaired on the spot. If a part has to be ordered we will get the system safe and, where possible, get you temporary heating or cooling until it arrives.
